On Tuesday 29th November I ventured out to Southbank on maybe the coldest night of the year to see the launch of npower’s Light Sky which is the world’s first interactive hologram right over Southbank all in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.
Across the country everyone is being asked to submit messages of love; hope and support either online via npower.com/lightsky or by coming down to Southbank from now until Friday 1st December 2017 and all you need to do is make a recommended donation of £4. You will also get your hologram emailed to you so you can share it with your loved ones.
My message read “With love from me to all my family, friends and fiancé xxx"
The evening was launched by the stunning Amanda Holden and with npower they are hoping to raise £30,000 for Macmillan with proceeds going to help support people affected by cancer over the festive period. Amanda is very close to this projects having first-hand experience with her papa.
npower works with Macmillan Cancer Support to help people with cancer keep warm without the worry, by offering energy advice and helping to source funding for fuel. As nearly 1 in 3 people* diagnosed with cancer say they feel the cold more and those undergoing treatment feel colder due to the side effects such as weight and hair loss and reduced energy levels.
