Friday faves is back, giving you a run down on what
I have been up to / my favourite things have been during the week – hope you enjoy.
Bottomless Brunches
Why not?! The weather is getting colder so we need some more indoor activities and why not mix that with bubbles and a poached egg or two. Gillray's
in Waterloo is now offering bottomless brunch and you don’t need to just
choose from bunch items either, burgers are on the menu coupled with stunning
views of London to stare lovingly at whilst sipping on endless bubbles.
Facials
Down the road from me in Esher is Jill Zander a Courthouse Medi Spa and as part of my new wedding regime I am looking to get monthly
facials to make sure my skin is in tip top condition for the big day. I decided to
try out a snazzy facial for my first one called LightFusion which costs £60 for
30 minutes and is an intensive light facial although you feel totally
relaxed, even though the facial suggest heat with lights you feel nothing just pure relaxation. LightFusion focus on tackling
issues like acne, blemishes, wrinkles and pigmentation and my skin felt super
soft and blemish free for the next few weeks. You also take home an intensive all night moisturiser to sleep in as the
last final step in the treatment.
Also Jill Zander offer so many other treatments from lashes
to fat melting treatments so I think it won’t be too long until I am back.
Baking
My
favourite cupcake shop has launched an updated / extended version of my favourite cookbook: TheHummingbird Bakery Cookbook.
Glossier
The US
Cult favourite has landed in the UK. The cheeky brand ethos of Glossier has already become a firm favourite
with the UK and its only been here for a few months. You can also schedule to
get any products delivered every 1,2 or 3 months instead of just the one off. Some of my faves are:
The perfect mask for when you
skin feeling dry with almond oil, squalane and that important ingredient of
hyaluronic acid to help pump your skin full of goodness.
Super Bounce complements the
Moisturizing Moon Mask perfectly, re-hydrating
and plumping the skin in an instant giving you a little bit of 'Bounce'
Reading
I usually only read on holiday because I simply don't give myself enough time during the
week to read but Adam brought me a little gift: Dan Brown, Origin. If you don't
know the author he has written a little book called The Da Vinci Code. His books are dark, clever and I
love a bit of Robert Langdon, I am only through the first few chapters but it’s
already one of my favourites apart from Harry Potter!
