Ever since Benefit launched I remember all of my friends having Hoola, the iconic hero product of matte bronzing powder coined ‘tan-in-a-box’…I believe it
might have been one of Benefit’s first ever products. I was always so jealous
of them whilst I was caked in foundation and blue eyeliner (bold choices). When
I finally got my beauty obsessed paws on it I fell in love and it lasted for
ages. Hoola is now award winning and a total cult fave and a celebrity beauty product favourite. All this and more can be found for £23.50.
As benefit have firmly cemented themselves on the beauty seen the Hoola
range has grown considerably to fully bronze every inch of your body:
To get your body like a bronzed goddess all you need is Hoola ZeroTanlines. The packaging is insane, so tropical and the product promises an all
over bronzer. Now usually I would be getting out my slightly grim / green looking
tanning mitt but wait there is a makeup applicator pad attached to the top…will tan
go on with this with no streaks?!? Yes it does, it was actually quite easy to
use it took a little longer than normal but for a fab looking tan I have no
complaints. The colour lasts for about 12 hours and the best bit is it won’t
turn your bed sheets into an odd orange glow! Oh one last thing Hoola Zero
Tanlines smells like holiday in a bottle! This is a tad cheaper than the cult
product at £19.50.
If we move back on to the main event, your face. You first need the
right tools for a sleek application and in the new Hoola range, Benefit have
introduced The Hoola Bronzing and Contouring brush. The brush looks like a
little palm tree with a bamboo like handle which actually serves another purpose
of great grip and a green tinge in the bristles. It's extremely soft (I am
actually just brushing it over my face right now with no makeup, it’s a perfectly
normal thing to do!) but getting back to makeup it is a good tool to
create a sexy contoured look for £17.50.
The dewy face trend is back with a bang this summer and Benefit
are on the case with Dew the Hoola. Again the packaging is made to look like
bamboo in a beautiful rose gold colour with another sexy tropical sent. Like
the original Hoola this liquid bronzer still provides a matte, non-shimmer look
which will be essential for my summer beauty routine. After trying this out I didn’t
feel like I had anything extra on just a bit of glow for a
lightweight natural look. I recommend using this as more of a contour by applying it under
your hair line, under your cheekbones and along your jaw. Dew the Hoola can be
purchased for £22.50
