Melon oil is the key

liz earle haircare

The other week, I was lucky enough to attend a Liz Earle blogger event, re-launching the Liz Earle Botanical Shine Haircare range which was temporarily removed from the collection due to the key ingredient 'Yangu Oil' no longer available. Instead of just quickly replacing it, the team decided to take the product off the market to ensure it provided the same/even better result.

With the help of James Wong, Ethnobotanist the Kalahari Melon Oil was discovered, and without realising improving  improving the quality of the Botanical Shine Haircare range.

Just like the skincare range, there is one shampoo for all hair types (200ml) like the skin cleanser suitable for dry to oily hair and....everything in between. The Shea butter alongside vitamin E and botanical oils makes it smell divine.

For the next step you have three Botanical Shine Conditioners to choose from fine & oilydry & damaged and normal so you can match to your hair type. I went for the dry and damaged as my hair can get quite dry unfortunately.

Then the Botanical Shine Nourishing hair oil is not only great to keep your hair smelling luscious but also reduces blow drying time by a third - tried and tested. The oil is a little more expensive but it lasts a lot longer than the shampoo and conditioners even at 50ml.

Ok so after the event I did not use the products straight away as I was using up some old ones but my friend who attended the event said she was amazed by how it had made her hair feel so I just had to find out for myself. The verdict: After using all three for a few weeks, I can't actually explain to you how different my hair feels and I am not one who usually uses hair oil but I have been totally converted especially as it smells so good. My hair looks and feels silky and smooth, I didn't notice too much added volume by my hair is quite voluminous anyway. The range it a little pricey but I am sure if you tried this range you won't be going back!

The range starts from £10 and can be purchased from John Lewis.
